The Brief

To deliver 529 residential units and a series of unique commercial spaces including an affordable workspace, a rooftop urban farm and a large food store, directly behind Camden Market. We are acting as lead designers for this complex project that will complete the first phase by 2025.

Added Value

We added value through the continuous dialogue and optimisation of the design to generate additional opportunities for the project. Working closely with the client to create supplementary space within the affordable workspace and the urban farms through efficient planning, improving the viability against the backdrop of rising construction costs in the industry.

Technical Challenges

This project presented a unique challenge as we joined the project a year after it commenced due to the previous architects closure. The team have strived to not only look backwards at the work completed to ensure a coordinated robust design but have also driven the team forward to ensure the project could recover its position against programme.
