Technical Director Ralph Isitt visited Chinese manufacturer Yuanda in Shenyang to see a two storey façade mock-up of Marian Place - a unique residential scheme in London which is currently being delivered by Design Delivery Unit for St. William, a division of Berkeley Homes.

Designed by concept architects RSHP, Marian Place comprises of five buildings in total, two of which will be built within existing and refurbished Victorian gasholder frames, and provides over 500 apartments along Regents Canal in Bethnal Green.

Having assisted Design Delivery Unit with the detailed design of the façade package, Ralph visited the manufacturer’s factory in China to see the mock-up which verifies the construction of the unitised façade, exo-skeleton and prefabricated balconies.
